Tesla Model X To Enter Production Early 2015

When one thinks of electric vehicles, our minds usually drift to smaller vehicles like sedans or hatchbacks. However if you’re more of an SUV kind of driver, you might recall that back in 2012 Telsa unveiled the Tesla Model X electric CUV (crossover utility vehicle). Well the good news is that according to an email that Tesla has sent out to its customers who reserved a model for themselves is that it looks like the Model X will be entering production early next year.

Unfortunately Tesla did not mention when the vehicle itself will begin shipping, but it entering production early next year is a good sign and hopefully customers won’t have to wait too long to get their hands on it. Even better news is that Tesla will be keeping some of the vehicle’s defining features, mainly the Model X’s falcon wing doors, which we have to admit look pretty awesome, plus it’s not everyday you see a CUV with such doors, right?

Tesla also mentioned that the vehicle will be an all-wheel drive and will be a standard for the vehicle, as opposed to a higher-end model or an option, and will also come with the option of adding a third row of seats in the car which will allow drivers to ferry more passengers. The second and third rows of seats can also be folded down to create space if you have things that you need to bring with you.

Now given that this is an electric vehicle, it means that there is a certain range that the vehicle can travel. Last we heard, the Model X would offer a range between 210-270 miles, depending on the battery capacity, and would have a speed from 0-60mph of 4.4 seconds, which is admittedly pretty impressive.
