Just in case you did not know, Samsung Accelerator happens to be a part of Samsung (which is not too difficult to tell based on the name alone, right?), and they have recently introduced a brand new launcher for Android-powered devices, calling them Terrain Home. Terrain Home will not take a page out of Samsung’s book where its previous works are concerned, since the styling is pretty much bare bones, so to speak. Apart from following select Android design guidelines Terrain Home’s pretty simple, although the ace up its sleeve would be using gestures to activate various features.
I suppose that some of us might see this to be Samsung’s take on Google Now, where a simple swipe from the left would deliver a screen that has different cards that depict different kinds of information. The information shown would include weather, calendar, Facebook, favorite contacts and several system toggles, with room to throw in additional functions if required.
Should you decide to swipe from the right, then a panel that shows off all of your app, buttons for each letter included, making it more or less similar to that of the Action Launcher. For those who are interested to give Terrain Home a go, how has your experience been so far?
