When it comes to digital cameras, there are dime a dozen models to choose from, and not only that, with different manufacturers, there are also various lenses for you to take your pick. It can get all very confusing, but there is a method to the madness. For those of you out there who love system cameras under the Micro Four Thirds umbrella, you will be pleased to hear that Tamron has come up with its very first All-In-One high power zoom lens known as the Tamron 14-150mm Di III (model C001), where it will hit the U.S. this coming June 26th with a recommended retail price of $589.
Now, that might be the same price as that of a standard consumer class point-and-shoot digital camera at the high end range, but do bear in mind that this compact and stylish, high-power all-in-one zoom lens will boast of a single LD (Low Dispersion) glass element, a couple of AD (Anomalous Dispersion) glass elements, two Molded-Glass Aspherical elements and one Hybrid Aspherical element, allowing it to deliver leading-edge image quality through the reduction of aberrations to a bare minimum.
Not only that, its optical design considerations allows it to end up with a compact body that has filter diameter of a mere 52mm. As for its metal lens barrel exterior, there are two colors to choose from – black and silver, that ought to suit just about any high end Micro Four Thirds cameras.
