That being said, it turns out that T-Mobile’s Test Drive proved to be quite popular right out of the gate. This is according to a post by T-Mobile’s CEO, John Legere, who claims that around 12,000 customers signed up for the free network trial in 24 hours, which averages out to a little over 8 customers per minute! According to Legere’s post, “More than 12,000 people have already signed up to start cheating on their carrier. (Note to self: call Apple for more iPhones.)”
T-Mobile has been making some pretty steady efforts at trying to convince customers from other carriers to come over onto their network. This has involved paying for a customer’s early termination fee that appears to beat out what the other carriers are offering, even if they have similar plans (such as AT&T’s own efforts to bribe T-Mobile customers over onto their network.
The carrier has also revealed their Music Freedom program which basically allows users to stream songs from a list of approved services, such as Pandora, iTunes Radio, Spotify, and etc. without it eating into their data, so your data can be conserved and used for other things like videos, web surfing, and so on.
