T-Mobile’s Music Freedom Streams Songs Without Eating Into Your Data

Some of us have music collections so huge that it would be impossible to try and fit it all into our mobile devices, which is why the next best option is to stream. Streaming songs pretty much gives you access to just about every song out there, but the downside is that unless you’re hooked onto WiFi. streaming songs or anything will end up consuming your data a lot faster than you would like.

T-Mobile wants to change that by introducing a new service called Music Freedom. What is Music Freedom, you ask? Well it’s basically T-Mobile allow users to stream music without it eating into their data allowance, so if you’re running low on data this month, it doesn’t mean that you can’t be entertained! However there is a catch, and that catch is that you have to use certain platforms.

The platforms officially supported by T-Mobile includes Pandora, iHeartRadio, iTunes Radio, Rhapsody, Slacker, Spotify and Milk Music, and since these are pretty much the main players in the streaming industry, we guess you’re good to go, unless of course you’re a subscriber to Beats Music then it looks like you’re out of luck.

As part of Music Freedom, T-Mobile has also announced Rhapsody unRadio. This is a collaborative effort that will allow users to listen to Rhapsody via the Rhapsody unRadio app for free with no ads and unlimited song skips. This will be free for T-Mobile customers with Unlimited 4G LTE plans, but for those on other plans, you’d only have to pay $4 a month to get access to this feature.

T-Mobile’s Music Freedom program will begin starting today, while the Rhapsody unRadio app will launch on the 22nd of June.
