It wasn’t too long ago that Microsoft officially unveiled their Surface Pro 3 tablet. This one was particularly because unlike the previous Surface offerings, this particular model has a display that’s about 2-inch larger. It also came with some improvements and changes over the previous models that had the potential for it to be used as an actual laptop. In fact many believed that the Surface Pro 3 could be a potential MacBook Air killer.
That being said Microsoft has been taking pre-orders for the tablet for a while now, but in case you missed out on that, you will be pleased to learn that the device will now be available for purchase via the Microsoft Store or your local BestBuy. The models will be priced differently, naturally, depending on how much storage you want and which processor you are opting for.
The 64GB Intel i3 model with 4GB of RAM will retail for $799, the 128GB Intel i5 with 4GB of RAM will go for $999, the 256GB Intel i5 with 8GB of RAM will be sold for $1,299, the 256GB with Intel i7 and 8GB of RAM will be priced slightly higher at $1,549, and lastly the 512GB Intel i7 with 8GB of RAM will cost $1,949. However we should note that all models save for the 128GB and 256GB Intel i5 model will be available for shipping by the 1st of August. The other two models have been pegged for the 30th of June.
Apart from the difference in RAM and processor, all models will retain the same features as one another. We guess you could try your luck at BestBuy to see if they have the 128GB or 256GB models in stock, but perhaps you’ll want to give them a call first before heading on over. So, who’s planning on picking up their Surface Pro 3 tablet this weekend?
