When it comes to games, some of the titles that have achieved success in the past would certainly have a sequel (or two) penned in, while certain franchises have a new edition every single year, especially sports games. Having said that, do hardware need sequels too? SteelSeries thinks so, having announced the follow up with the Stratus, calling it the Stratus XL.
Needless to say, the Stratus XL is larger than its predecessor as you can tell by the name of the accessory, where the Stratus XL comes across as a Bluetooth wireless controller which will boast of support for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. At first glance, some of the less eagle eyed among us out there can be forgiven into thinking that this is an Xbox One controller, although upon a second glance, you can tell that it isn’t.
Tino Soelberg, chief technology officer of SteelSeries, shared, “We have been incredibly impressed by the way the SteelSeries Stratus has been received by consumers so far and we are looking forward to introducing the Stratus XL to the iOS gaming community — who have been asking for a full-sized controller option.”
Do expect the SteelSeris Stratus XL to be made available to the masses later this year, where pricing details has yet to be confirmed. [Press Release]
