A couple of months ago, Square Enix Montreal announced a new mobile game in the form of Hitman GO. The game is based on the Hitman franchise and incorporates elements such as stealth, as well as keeping the missions similar to the game, like taking out targets, for example. Well it looks like Square Enix Montreal is working on another Hitman game called Hitman: Sniper.
The company announced the new game on their blog, although they did not share too many details about it, like what it will look like or when it will be available, but they did promise that more would be revealed at E3 where they will be revealing it for the first time.
However based on what the company has revealed so far, the game will be based on the Hitman: Sniper Challenge which was one of the pre-order bonuses that gamers were given when they pre-ordered Hitman: Absolution. “We’ve designed Hitman: Sniper to be a massively competitive sniping game that will focus on the subtlety of execution. You’ll need to have your wits about you to complete scenario-driven contracts that contain a number of targets and assignments.”
Square Enix Montreal has also revealed that Hitman: Sniper will be free for download, which sounds good, but at the same time they have also mentioned that gamers will be able to access in-app purchases if they want to, such as getting early access to contracts, or upgrading your weapons, essentially making the game a free-to-play title. Considering that they did a good job with Hitman GO, here’s hoping that Hitman: Sniper will be just as fun, if not better.
