You might have heard that Samsung is gearing up to launch two new AMOLED tablets. If rumors are correct then on June 12th the company is going to unveil its Galaxy Tab S lineup, which consists of two tablets that are only differentiated by their display sizes. The launch event will take place at the Madison Square Garden in New York but since millions of the company’s fan can’t possibly fit in that venue, Samsung has decided to live stream the event.
The company has officially confirmed that the event’s live stream will be available on its blog and its official YouTube channel. The stream will start on June 12th at 19:00 EDT.
In the blog post Samsung itself hints at the possibility of a mobile device that “focuses on color.” It is believed that the company’s new tablets will be offered in a variety of color options, or perhaps it may be referring to a completely different device. We’ll have to wait until June 12th to be certain.
As far as the tablets are concerned, a 10.5-inch and an 8.4-inch model are expected. They’ll both probably be powered by a Samsung Exynos 5420 octacore processor with 3GB of RAM. They’re also believed to have the same 1,600×2,560 pixel resolution AMOLED display. Other specifications include microSD card support, LTE capability, Android 4.4 KitKat and a fingerprint sensor under the home button.
