Pebble is quite possibly one of the few crowdfunded smartwatches that made it big. The team regularly pushes out firmware updates for the smartwatch to enhance the user experience. Yet another Pebble firmware update has been rolled out. This one brings a feature that most users are going to appreciate very much, the ability to reorder items in the smartwatch’s launcher menu.
As described by Pebble on its official blog the latest firmware, version 2.2, allows users to take any item in the launcher menu and reorder it as they see fit. Its actually very easy to do this. Pebble users simply have to press and hold the select button in the launcher to start sorting an item in the menu. It will start shaking and that’s when the item can be moved up or down the list as per users’ liking.
Apart from bug fixes and stability improvements the update also enables alarm to vibrate for 10 minutes instead of 1 minute. The music app gets a new design that fixes previous issues with the layout and also adds a track progress bar, albeit on iOS only.
The update also gives users better control over music, more importantly, it now lets them control the volume straight through Pebble. Volume control was actually demoed quite a while back but it is finally making its way to the smartwatch now. iOS users will need to install the latest Pebble iOS app to get volume control to work.
