Back in 2013, Nike announced their fitness band, the FuelBand SE. They later followed this up with a Silver edition that was part of their METALUXE series. Well in case silver wasn’t good enough for you, Nike has since announced that they will be releasing a Gold finish version of the FuelBand SE METALUXE collection.
As you can see in the image above, it will feature a gold clasp. There is another version of the FuelBand SE that was created in commemoration of the upcoming World Cup 2014 and will be made for the footballers and staff of Brazil, England, France, and the US’ football federation.
However Nike has also announced a more consumer-friendly version which will be available at select Nike retailers come 5th June for $149. The image above is the consumer version which will not only sport a gold clasp, but will also come with gold screws for its battery door. Other than that it’s pretty much the same FuelBand SE that many have come to know and love.
We should point out that the Gold Nike FuelBand SE will be limited in quantity, so if you were thinking about getting your hands on it, you’ll want to move quick lest it is sold out. It’s interesting that Nike is continuing to churn out FuelBand SE fitness devices. If anything this quashes earlier rumors that Nike would be discontinuing the FuelBand SE, with Nike reportedly laying off staff at their digital sports division.
