The Toughpad FZ-E1 will run on Windows Embedded 8.1 Handheld, while the Toughpad FZ-X1 sports Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean as the mobile operating system of choice. Regardless of which model you decide to use, they are both enterprise-class handheld tablets, sporting 14-hour hot-swappable batteries, FIPS 140-2 Level 1 security, and sunlight-readable HD touchscreens which will function even when you’re wearing gloves – handy in tough work conditions as well as during winter.
Targeting mobile professionals including the likes of first responders, military service members and those in transportation and logistics, utilities, manufacturing, retail and field services, they have been constructed to deliver easy integration into existing IT infrastructures and for smooth deployments and ongoing support, as well as offer organizations with longer life cycles, translating to lower total costs of ownership.
