Our friends over at AndroidPIT have laid claim that the yet to be released LG G Watch has already been referenced in the German Play Store, never mind the fact that the smartwatch is tipped to roll out officially sometime in the near future. I suppose if that were to be true, then there must be a Googler who does not have the patience required to store such a “secret”, and just needed to spill the beans on the upcoming smartwatch. Alternatively, who are we to argue otherwise that it might very well be a deliberate leak, hoping that some eagle eyed person will be able to sniff out the clues in the process?
Apparently, the Android Wear-powered LG G Watch was referenced to in the Devices section of the German Play Store. While all of it remains available in just words, this translates to a lack of LG G Watch images or product pages, although the German Play Store was touted by AndroidPIT to show off the wearable as sporting a constantly active display alongside a 400mAh battery.
So far, we are still waiting for an official announcement on the LG G Watch from the South Korean manufacturer themselves, although a relatively fresh leak does point to the device carrying a 1.65” LCD display at 280 x 280 resolution alongside 4GB of internal memory, which is pretty decent for a small piece of wearable tech to begin with.
