According to a report earlier this year, word on the street was that Lenovo was looking to get into the Windows Phone game with a new smartphone of their own. This was apparently “confirmed” by Lenovo themselves and if you wanted more proof, just to be safe, a recent tweet by AdDuplex has revealed that a new Windows Phone from Lenovo is indeed in the works.
The tweet reads, “AdDuplex stats teaser: we’ve seen new Windows Phones from Lenovo, Longcheer, JSR, Micromax, K-Touch, Prestigio, BLU, Nokia and more!” Unfortunately the tweet did not mention anything about the specs of the upcoming Lenovo Windows Phone handset, so we guess we will just have to wait and see what Lenovo has in store for us.
However based on previous rumors, it has been suggested that the Lenovo Windows Phone handset will be a mid-ranged device. It will pack a 4.5-5-inch display and will be powered by either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 or 600 processor, and could cost around $420.
There’s really no telling when Lenovo will make this official, but we have to wonder if perhaps one day we might be able to see a Motorola Windows Phone handset, once the sale of Motorola Mobility to Lenovo has been made official? What do you guys think?
