Its a popular sentiment that HTC One M7 and M8 smartphones are among the best Android powerhouses that money can buy. Touting full metal bodies and respectable specifications, the One-series has so far been well received. With the HTC One M8 launch out of the way earlier this year the company will most certainly be working on its successor. A new rumor suggests that the HTC One M9 and HTC One M9 Prime will both be launched in the first quarter of next year.
This bit of information comes after multiple rumors have surfaced about HTC One M8 Prime being cancelled. Over the past couple of months we have constantly heard about this Prime iteration, expected to come with a 5.5-inch Quad HD display and Snapdragon 805 processor. Apparently HTC has decided not to launch it this year.
@evleaks, the source behind this information, claims that the M9 Prime is most likely going to hit shelves first in Q1, 2015, meaning that it would hit the market earlier than the regular M9. Does this mean that the M9 Prime will be more expensive and the regular M9 will essentially be a toned down variant with a relatively lower price?
Nothing can be said for sure right now as apart from the Q1 2015 time frame no details about both smartphones are available. No word on the display sizes, processors and other specifications. Rest assured though, we’ll certainly hear more about both devices when 2014 approaches its end.
