When Rockstar unveiled Grand Theft Auto V last year, many were amazed by the game’s graphics. It certainly looked like the developers had outdone themselves with the latest installment in the Grand Theft Auto franchise. In fact, Hideo Kojima, the man responsible for the Metal Gear Solid series of games, said he felt “depressed” after seeing the gameplay trailer.
Now if you thought GTA 5 on the PS3 and Xbox 360 looked good, you might recall that the other day a trailer was released, comparing GTA 5 on the PS3 and the PS4, with the latter’s visuals certainly looking better than its predecessor. Kojima himself managed to take a look at the trailer, where he once again expressed a feeling of depression after watching it.
Speaking to CVG, “What Rockstar has created and the world they have created is super impressive, and actually when I saw the PS4 version a few days ago I got depressed again. And this is not game design-related, it’s just me. The quality that they showed in the PS4 trailer was really impressive.” However we don’t think that Kojima should have anything to feel depressed about!
After all the Fox Engine is a mighty impressive one and from what we’ve seen in the trailers of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, it looks good enough to give Rockstar a run for their money, but what do you guys think? Does GTA 5 on next-gen consoles look more impressive compared to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain?
