We’ve seen hints from developers suggesting that it would, and there have even been cases where hackers took advantage of the hype to trick users into installing malware. There was even a petition that managed to obtain over 700,000 signatures asking Rockstar to bring the game onto the PC.
Well the good news is that the wait is almost over. Rockstar has officially announced that GTA 5 will be making its way onto the PC later this fall, alongside next-gen console releases for the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. Given the power of the PC (assuming you have a good one) and next-gen consoles, gamers can look forward to graphical improvements.
“Grand Theft Auto V will take full advantage of the power of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail.” Rockstart also announced that the PC version of the game will get a video editor feature that will allow gamers to make even better movies than before.
Now the good news is that if you already own the PS3/Xbox 360 version of the game, you will be able to transfer your GTA Online characters and progression to your newer system, although they did not mention if this meant that gamers had to buy an entirely new copy of the game, or just pay a smaller fee to upgrade.
