Unfortunately it looks like Razer has since been dethroned by the likes of Gigabyte who has recently unveiled their new Aorus X3 lineup at Computex 2014 spotted by the folks at Engadget. According to Gigabyte, they are claiming that the Aorus X3 will be the world’s most powerful and lightest gaming laptop of its class, and based on what we can see, it is entirely possible.
The device weighs 4.12 pounds, making it a tad lighter than the Razer Blade’s 4.47 pounds. The Aorus X3 will also debut with two different screen sizes: 13.3-inches with a resolution of 2560×1440, or 13.9-inches with a resolution of 3200×1800. The laptop will also be powered by Intel’s Core i7-4710HQ clocked between 2.5-3.5GHz. There will be 8GB of RAM accompanying it with an extra slot for an additional 8GB.
The GPU that comes with the laptop is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M with 6GB of GDDR5 memory, a pair of SSDs, dedicated macro keys for your gaming needs, WiFi, and a 74Wh battery. Naturally gaming laptops don’t come cheap so if you were thinking about picking one up, they will be available in Q3 starting at $2,099.
