When it comes to the biggest video game event in the world, nothing much will come close to what E3 delivers, although the show itself has toned down in the past years. Having said that, Microsoft must certainly be lining up something huge for their current flagship, the Xbox One, alongside the aged Xbox 360 model by making a major announcement ahead of E3 through the confirmation of Forza Horizon 2 for both consoles.
Having a word with the folks over at IGN, Microsoft personnel claimed that the upcoming latest entry in the long lived racing franchise will be an open-world title that is developed by Playground Games. Just in case you were wondering, Playground Games does have the pedigree to deal with the Forza Horizon franchise since they were the ones behind the original Forza Horizon that was released a couple of years ago.
Those who are interested will be able to enjoy this particular game later “this fall,” although there has been no mention of an exact release date just yet. Apart from that, very little else is known about the game, other than it will boast of a weather system while ensuring that your asphalt burning adventures will happen in southern Europe.
