This particular tablet will be manufactured by the folks over at Emdoor, where it will come with a quad-core Intel Z3735E ATOM processor, sport 1GB RAM, has 16GB of internal memory, accompanied by an 8” IPS display at 1280 x 800 resolution. At such an affordable price point, to see the presence of an IPS display is definitely encouraging, not to mention having an Intel CPU run proceedings from under the hood. However, the ATOM processor is not going to be able to offer too much of a punch in terms of processing power, so do not get your hopes up too high just yet.
This is definitely a step in the right direction if Microsoft would like to see Windows break into the entry level tablet market, but as to whether customers will bite, that remains to be seen.
