Is food really a part of our lives that we need to go hi-tech with? Well apparently it is, because food inventor, Charlie Harry Francis, has created a machine that can produce edible mist. The Edible Mist machines are part of a laboratory called Lick Me I’m Delicious, and the mist produced by these machines offer up more than 200 flavors.
These flavors include the likes of mango, smoked bacon, apple pie, chocolate, and so on. So how does one “eat” mist? Well we suppose it functions similar to electronic cigarettes, or vapes as they are more commonly known, where the user will suck in the mist in order to taste the food. Now we doubt eating the mist will keep you full or satisfied, but they could be fun for parties or events where partygoers get to sample some flavors, just for the fun of it.
According to Francis, “The range of flavors is massive and we can also produce you a personalized mist from pretty much anything in the world, like your favorite book or even your hair […]AND it’s zero calories.” Unfortunately if you’re living in the US and you were hoping to get your hands on one, it could cost you upwards of $8,400, but for those living in the UK, you will be able to rent the machines, presumably for parties and whatnot.
It’s an interesting idea although admittedly it sounds more novel than useful, not to mention it looks pretty damn cool and futuristic as well. If you have a minute to spare, you can check out the video above to see the Edible Mist Machine in action, or head on over to its website for the details.
