Microsoft did expand the borders of its Bing Rewards program earlier this year in order to include mobile searches on both Android and iOS platforms where it came along with the promise that a similar function will eventually make its way over to Windows Phone devices. Well, true to their word, albeit close to half a year down the road, Microsoft has introduced support for Bing Rewards on Windows Phone.
Microsoft claims that this new app is “something special we’re launching for users in the Windows Phone community”. As the end user, just what can you expect from the Bing Rewards app? For starters, it will include Live Tile support, where you are able to check out your Rewards credits and offer status. Opening up the app will reveal your dashboard alongside the option to manage your account, to earn and redeem credits, as well as check out the slew of offers made available to you in addition to entering the sweepstakes.
SImilar to both Android and iOS versions, those rocking to this new app on Windows Phone can also search and earn credits right on your smartphone itself, now how about that as an added incentive? I am not sure how much more traffic will this feature be able to divert from Google though.
