About a week ago, EA announced the next Battlefield title, Hardline. Unlike previous Battlefield titles that are more military focused, Hardline appears to be have a more urban setting and will see the incorporation of local law enforcement agents in the game. It’s an interesting choice and we guess in a way it is also very refreshing, but how well it plays remains to be seen.
Well if you didn’t want to wait until E3 to learn more about Battlefield Hardline, you might be interested to learn that footage of the gameplay has leaked online. The video was uploaded onto YouTube before EA took it down, but now thanks to the folks at NeoGAF, they have reuploaded the video onto the Mega download server, so you can head on over if you’d like to take a look.
For those who can’t be bothered to download the video themselves, it basically shows off a player in the game running around the entire map, giving us a glimpse at what kind of features and settings we can look forward to. As we mentioned earlier, Hardline will have a more urban setting compared to previous Battlefield titles. The video also reveals some of the vehicles that players can commandeer, one of which appears to be a police bike which is reminiscent of Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto franchise.
In any case EA will be officially revealing the game and sharing more information about it at E3 2014, so if Hardline sounds like a title you’d like to check out, EA will be holding their conference at 12PM PDT on the 9th of June, so check back with us then for the details.
