Of course some gamers aren’t too fussy, as long as it doesn’t lag and it’s fun, who really cares about those specs, right? Well if you’re a gamer who does care, you might be pleased to learn that the developers behind the upcoming Battlefield Hardline will be doing everything they can to ensure the game will run at 1080p resolution and at 60fps on the Xbox One.
Speaking to the folks at GamingBolt, Visceral Games’ creative director, Ian Milham, was quoted as saying, “Of course, the PC version, it will do whatever your PC can handle, and the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will obviously not be as high-res as compared to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions. But those two [PS4 and Xbox One] should be locked in together.”
In case you haven’t noticed, games released on the PS4 tends to offer better resolution and framerates. For example with Blizzard’s Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls expansion for next-gen consoles, it was revealed that it would run at 900p on the Xbox One and 1080p on the PS4. Battlefield Hardline is expected to see a release on the 24th of October later this year, so here’s hoping Visceral Games will be able to deliver on their promise.
