Battlefield Hardline Beta Will Be Coming To Other Platforms

As gamers have probably heard by now, the closed beta signups for the PC and the Sony PlayStation 4 for EA’s Battlefield Hardline are open, but what does this mean for gamers on other platforms like the Xbox 360, Xbox One, or even PlayStation 3? Does this mean that they will not be given beta access to the game?

Well fret not because in an interview with TotalXbox, DICE’s general manager, Karl-Magnus Troedsson confirmed that the beta will eventually make its way onto other platforms ahead of the game’s release, which has been pegged for the 21st of October. According to Troedsson, not only will the beta make its way onto other platforms, but it will be different from that of the PC and PS4 too.

“We will have a beta on on all platforms before release. But it won’t be this beta on Xbox. It’s not going to be the same version, just to be clear.” Unfortunately he did not mention when the beta for other platforms take place, but given that we’re still a few months away from October, we guess we won’t have to wait too long to find out.

Troedsson also pointed out how they have learnt from their mistake with Battlefield 4. With the beta, they will allow gamers early access to the game in which bugs will be weeded out ahead of its final release. This is compared to the launch of Battlefield 4 which was riddled with bugs upon its release.
