According to Samsung, from today onwards, the AT&T Galaxy S3 will start to receive the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, where this particular update will bump up the software version to I747UCUFNE4, which would deliver changes such as a new Lock Screen access, enhanced media controls that feature full-screen album art, the ability to access the Camera application directly from the lock screen itself, an SMS App Chooser, restyled Status and Navigation bars, the change to DriveMode from AT&T Drive Mode, pre-loaded “Beat Music”, a Unified Location Menu, expanded emoji icons, wireless printing support, copy and paste improvements, inline editing in emails, among others.
Better late than never, I suppose, considering how Samsung did promise users earlier this year that the Galaxy S3 will eventually see Android 4.4 KitKat running on it. [Support Page]
