[Computex 2014] ASUS continues to expand their Republic of Gamers (ROG) range with the announcement of the ASUS ROG G20 gaming desktop at this year’s Computex in Taiwan. Do not be fooled by its relatively small size – the smaller form factor desktop does pack quite a punch underneath the hood to deliver its fair share of processing firepower to keep you entertained after a particularly difficult day at work.
The R20 gaming desktop was specially developed to cater to those who want both portability and power in a single selection. It looks set to dominate the field of small-form-factor gaming desktops, where along the way, it has also picked up the exclusive Best Choice of the Year Award and Best Choice Golden Award at Computex 2014.
The G20 will sport a unique compact case design which will not have any visible exhaust vents, and that begs the question – how does it remain nice and cool? Well, it will be able to take advantage of the natural convection thanks to a thermal design that boasts of a hidden airflow tunnel, delivering efficient heat management as well as a near-silent operation – we are talking about a mere 25dB at idle. Underneath the hood, expect it to run on an Intel Core i7 processor alongside a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 graphics card.
