Recently there has been talks about the upcoming Moto X+1 from Motorola. The handset has yet to be officially announced, but many are talking about it lately. Previously we had reported that an alleged image had surfaced that was supposedly the Moto X+1, along with some of its specs. Turns out that it was bogus, but the same source has once again come forward with a new video claiming to be that of the boot animation of the Moto X+1.
According to the folks at TK Tech News, they claim that this boot animation is the real deal. Now it’s hard to tell if it is the real deal simply because the boot animation looks a lot like Motorola’s other devices, so for all we know, it could be a Moto X or a Moto G posing as a Moto X+1. However some have pointed out that in the video, it shows wordings on the device that reads, “Motorola Confidential Property”, which could hint at its authenticity.
Of course anyone could have easily faked those wordings and pasted something similar on a device, so take it with a grain of salt for now. However according to TK Tech News, this will apparently be the first in the series of leaked photos/videos that they have planned. Apparently the publication had offered up a $25,000 bounty for Moto X+1 leaks, which led to someone trying to provide them with false information in order to claim said bounty.
In any case what this means that it’s still pretty much up in the air at the moment. Their source has claimed that the phone is noticeably thinner than the Moto X and will come with a microSD card slot, and that it will most likely see a September launch. Until we hear from Motorola, do take it with a grain of salt, but in the meantime you can check out the video above to see the boot animation in action.
