It has been reported many times that Apple is going to start production of its next generation iPhones over the summer. Apple may be aiming for a fall launch, a time frame that it has stuck to for the past few years. Once production ramps up we often get to see various leaked parts and components, even if they come from unofficial sources. We have already seen several alleged iPhone 6 parts and pictures of yet another rear shell have surfaced online.
Interestingly though this time around we get to see inside the rear shell. Apart from the distinct antenna breaks on the top and bottom of the back, there’s a cutout for LED flash and apparently the power button has been moved from the top to the right. As often rumored, the rear shell has rounded corners and sides.
Seeing the Apple logo cut out might seem unusual but that’s possibly a part of the manufacturing process. Several rumors have claimed that the logo itself might be used as a notification light but its too soon to be sure about that right now.
The new iPhones are expected to bring major changes particularly for the design. Apart from the larger displays the upcoming smartphones are also believed to be thinner and lighter than their predecessors.
Even if this alleged iPhone 6 rear shell isn’t the real deal it can be said for sure that we’ll see countless leaks of this kind before Apple makes an official announcement. That’s just the way it is, but at least it gives iPhone fans something to talk about.
