Alcatel One Touch D820 With QHD Display Spotted In Benchmarks

When it comes to smartphones with QHD displays, there aren’t that many in the market right now, making it ripe for OEMs to come out of the woodworks with their offerings. So far we have seen QHD smartphones from the likes of Vivo, Oppo, and LG, but it looks like Alcatel could be getting into the market as well.

This is thanks to a GFXBench sighting which revealed the handset’s alleged specs. We should note that these specs could change at a later date or upon its official release, so do take it with a grain of salt for now. Starting with the display, the Alcatel One Touch D820 appears to sport a 4.5-inch QHD display. This is interesting because due to the smaller size, it would give the D820 a much higher pixel density than its competitors.

The phone will be powered by a MediaTek MT6595 quad-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and be accompanied by 2.8GB of RAM. There will be 12GB of onboard storage (we’re assuming 16GB, with 4GB taken up by other software on the phone), a 7MP rear-facing camera, a 7MP front-facing camera, and according to GFXBench, both will apparently be able to record videos in 4K resolution.

The Alcatel One Touch D820 will come with Android 4.4.2 KitKat preinstalled. No word on when Alcatel will be releasing the device or announcing it, but we will be keeping our eyes peeled for more information.
