A big rumor was laid to rest earlier this week. We had been constantly hearing that a new iPhone would likely be unveiled at WWDC 2014, but Apple didn’t make any hardware related announcements during its keynote. The other rumor that’s been going around for quite a while is that this fall Apple will release a 5.5-inch iPhone 6. A new note from an analyst suggests that the release might take place earlier than anticipated.
It is believed that Apple will first release the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 over the summer. The company will then follow up with the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 release a few months later. Recent rumors suggested that perhaps the release had been pushed to 2015 but Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Brian White believes on the contrary.
Following research at the Computex trade show in Taipei, Taiwan White claims that the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 is probably going to make an appearance in September 2014. Its a rather convenient timeframe given the fact that Apple has unveiled multiple new iPhone in the month of September for the past couple of years.
While claims that accessory vendors have already started production of their products for both new iPhones and that some even showed off their products at Computex.
This year Apple is expected to make some major changes to its new iPhones, including but not limited to a redesign and a larger display. These are two things that most iPhone fans are looking forward to and we certainly are intrigued as to what Apple may have have up its sleeve for later this year.
