Just the other day it was suggested that perhaps the best console to enjoy Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs on would be the Sony PlayStation 4. This is because of a listing on the Watch Dogs’ page which revealed that the game would run at 1080p and at 60fps, or will it?
Sony has since updated the page and according to those who have noticed, any mention of 1080p and 60fps gameplay has since been removed.
Could this mean that the game will not run at said resolution and at that framerate? There is a possibility that it could be the case, but at the same time perhaps it could have also been removed in error.
There has been quite a bit of fuss lately about how games on next-gen consoles should be running at the maximum possible settings, such as 1080p resolution and 60fps. Some games have managed to deliver, while other games have fallen short of expectations.
For some gamers, the differences between 1080p and 720p might be negligible, while others believe that with the latest hardware, games should be able to take advantage of the technology as well. In any case Watch Dogs will be seeing a release on the 27th of May on the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and the Xbox One, so hopefully Sony will be able to provide some clarification before then.
