Vivo Xshot Handled In The Flesh

Much has been said about the Vivo Xshot in the past, including it being the first smartphone to actually surpass the 40,000 score in an AnTuTu benchmark, while touted to carry a whopping 24MP camera at the back as well, although that particular rumor has been debunked. The folks over at Engadget have managed to get hold of the Vivo Xshot in the flesh.

Right from the get go, the Vivo Xshot certainly places a whole lot of emphasis on its camera capability, but this does not mean that the rest of the smartphone is a slouch. No sir, it will also come with a 5.2” 1080p Full HD touchscreen display, a 13MP camera at the back with dual-LED, dual-tone flash, an 8MP front-facing shooter with a LED flash, too, a quad-core 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal memory, a microSD memory card slot, connectivity options like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS, alongside a 2,600 mAh non-removable battery.

Do expect the retail version to arrive with Android 4.4 KitKat as the mobile operating system of choice, although there have been prototypes that sport Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, running Vivo’s Funtouch OS 1.2 on top of it. While the Vivo Xshot will be available in China first, it remains to be seen whether it will be marketed elsewhere. Hopefully pricing details will be revealed in order to make a better guess as to whether it will be able to do well or not.
