So earlier today, the LG G3 was officially unveiled, and boy is it a stunner! Given its high resolution display and powerful hardware specs, safe to say that many are eager to get their hands on the device, but when will it be released? Well we know it will be arriving on Verizon and according to the carrier, it will be “coming soon”.
The good news is that if you were interested in the handset, Verizon has since launched the pre-registration page for the LG G3, so you can go ahead and leave your details and Verizon will let you know when the handset has become available. Given that T-Mobile expects the phone to be made available this summer, we guess we can look forward to its release in the next few months.
The handset will be making its way across the major carriers, but pricing of the handset remains unknown. It has been speculated that it will most likely be priced at $199.99 on contract, which is the standard price when it comes to high-end smartphones, so it’s a safe bet that the carriers will most likely go with that, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled anyway.
A quick recap for those who missed the announcement: the LG G3 will feature a 5.5-inch QHD display. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset clocked at 2.5GHz (quad-core) with 2 or 3GB of RAM, 16/32GB storage options, a 13MP OIS+ camera with laser autofocus, a 3,000mAh battery, and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
