Given that Microsoft’s Intel Surface tablets are usually restricted to their “Pro” lineup running on Windows 8, it seems that the device could be the Surface Pro 3. This is according to a Microsoft support document which seems to reference the Surface Pro 3 moniker. The document is with regards to an update for Windows 8.1, which “adds support to the Surface Pro 3 camera.”
Unfortunately not much is known about the Intel-powered Surface tablet for now, except that the previous rumors suggested that it could be based on Intel’s Haswell processor, as opposed to the Atom lineup. Microsoft has yet to comment on the support document, which could be a typo for all we know, but either way be sure to check back with us on the 20th of May for the details! In the meantime does anyone think that it might be a bit early to announce the Surface Pro 3, especially since it was less than a year since the Surface Pro 2 was released?
