Sony RX100M3 Specs Revealed, Announcement May 15 [Rumor]

If you were a fan of Sony’s RX100 series of cameras, then chances are you might be interested to see what the RX100M3 could bring to the table. According to Sony Alpha Rumors, they have been tipped off that the camera will be announced on the 15th of May, and they have also managed to “confirm” the specs of the camera.

According to their sources, the Sony RX100M3 will feature a 20MP sensor, the same one used in the RX100M2. The camera will also have an ISO range of 125-25,600, although given that this isn’t exactly a high-end device, we don’t expect higher ISO levels to look particularly good. It will also come with a 24mm-70mm f/1.8-2.8 lens which is surprisingly pretty bright, so if photos with a lot of bokeh are your thing, then this camera should be able to pull it off.

The RX100M3 is also rumored to feature a built-in viewfinder, a tiltable display that can go up to 180-degrees, record in the XAVC S format, and apart from that will share pretty much the same size, weight, and other misc specs belonging to the RX100M2. The price of the camera has also been revealed.

It has been tentatively set anywhere 800-850 Euro. Presumably the RX100M2 will get a price cut upon its release, so if there are features that you can live without in the RX100M3, then perhaps the RX100M2 or even the original RX100 might be a better option.
