While Microsoft did release an update to the Skype app for Windows 8.1 slightly more than a month back, this does not mean that the software giant is going to rest on its laurels. No sir, they do seem to be committed to rolling out newer versions and updates at a higher frequency than ever before, and today, we know that Skype for Windows 8.1 has been updated yet again with a bunch of helpful features.
In the change log that was listed on the Windows Store page, it pointed out that the new Skype version for Windows 8.1 is now able to synchronize with a user’s favorite contacts throughout the entire gamut of one’s devices. This means that your favorites list should show the same faces regardless of whether you are using Skype on a smartphone, tablet or desktop.
Apart from that, when one scrolls through those favorite contacts, alongside other recent conversations, it ought to take up far less of your time. Microsoft has also altered the design in such a way so that favorites and chat logs will require less space in the app itself, making everything a whole lot more neat. Have you given the new update a go? If you haven’t done so, you can download it here from the Windows Store.
