There has been plenty of talk about the yet unannounced Samsung Galaxy S5 Active smartphone, which is rather strange since the handset has yet to be officially released. Still, whispers in the past do point to AT&T picking up the equivalent in the form of model number SM-G870A, while Sprint is touted to offer the Galaxy S5 Active as the SM-G860. It does seem as though our friends living across the pond would be receiving one on their end, too, with the model number SM-G850F making a splash.
Basically, the Samsung SM-G850F is shaping up to be the international variant of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, where it already features support pages over at Samsung Norway, Samsung Sweden, and Samsung Finland. Too bad the support pages in those three countries mention the smartphone’s model number only, as it would be most helpful if other details such as images and additional information on the hardware were supplied.
Something tells us that the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active is going to be a wee bit larger than the vanilla Samsung Galaxy S5, simply because it needs to look and play the rugged part, not to mention going one up when it comes to being waterproof.
