Two new tablets from Samsung are expected to be announced in the near future. Its next generation tablet lineup is reportedly called the Galaxy Tab S. The company already has an event scheduled for June 12th in New York City where it may unveil two tablets of varying screen sizes. Both are believed to tout high resolution 2,560×1,600 Super AMOLED displays. A picture has leaked online showing off the display in action.

Granted that its a low resolution picture that doesn’t do justice to this purported Super AMOLED display, which would likely be great to look at in real life. Though we can evidently see a rather bright and colorful screen and Samsung’s fans can expect it to be more vibrant than the company’s previous tablets.

The Galaxy Tab S may not be short on power as well. It is expected to have an octacore Samsung Exynos 5 processor under the hood coupled with 3GB of RAM. 8 megapixel rear and 2.1 megapixel front cameras are expected apart from an IR blaster and a fingerprint sensor in the home button.

10.5-inches and 8.4-inches are the two sizes in which the new tablets may be offered. Size might be the only differentiating factor as there are no reports of specification differences between the two. No word on pricing and availability as yet but Samsung will surely have something to tell us on June 12th, so stay tuned.
