Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 Spotted On AnTuTu Benchmarks

Based on the rumors and leaks that we’ve seen and heard so far, we know that Samsung is working on new tablets that will pack the company’s AMOLED displays in the form of the Galaxy Tab S series of tablets. One of the purported models is an 8.4-inch model which recently made an appearance on the AnTuTu benchmarks, thus more or less “confirming” what we’ve heard so far.

For starters the benchmark confirms that the tablet will pack an 8.4-inch display. It will also come with a display resolution of 2560×1440, making it a pretty sharp looking display. Combine that with the AMOLED display and we might have ourselves a winner. The benchmarks also reveal that the tablet will pack a Samsung Exynos 5 Octa 5420 chipset, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of onboard storage.

There was no mention as to whether the tablet would support memory expansion via microSD, but it seems unlikely for now. The Galaxy Tab S will also pack an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front-facing camera, and will run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat preinstalled. There is no mention as to whether the Galaxy Tab S will feature a fingerprint sensor, like the Galaxy S5, but word on the street is that it will, so we guess we’ll just have to keep an eye out for that.
