There has been quite a lot of talk about a Samsung Galaxy S5 mini and for those who don’t need the size or the power of the Galaxy S5 will probably want to check it out. However the question remains as to whether the device is real or not? Based on the past, Samsung has released “mini” versions of its handsets before, so why not again, right?
Well according to a listing on Samsung Finland’s website, a certain SM-G800F has been sighted which many believe to be a variant of the Samsung Galaxy S5 mini. Of course there’s no way of confirming this so take it with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll definitely keep our eyes peeled for more information.
Based on the rumors of the Galaxy S5 mini, it seems that we can look forward to a handset packing a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED 720p HD display. It will also feature a quad-core processor of the Snapdragon 400 make, an 8MP rear-facing camera, a 2MP front-facing camera, 16GB of onboard storage, 1.5GB of RAM, and a 2,100mAh battery.
The Galaxy S5 mini is also rumored to run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and is also expected to inherit the protective qualities of the Galaxy S5, meaning that there is a good chance we can expect it to be both water and dust resistant. No word on when the phone will launch but the rumors are suggesting June, so check back with us then for the details.
