The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active has made its fair share of rounds on the rumor vine in recent times, although it did remain in a low profile throughout this month. Basically, after the Samsung Galaxy S5 was announced with water and dust resistance capability, which would remain true to the similar IP67 specification that is found on the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active which was released in the previous year, whispers concerning the new Active variant more or less petered out. However, there is still hope for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active as it does seem to have made an appearance on the AnTuTu benchmark, albeit it is most probably a prototype device.
It remains to be seen just how the Samsung Galaxy S5 Active will differentiate itself from the normal version of the Galaxy S5. Who knows? It might very well end up with IP68 protection, which would mean it has the ability to be submerged deeper into water compared to the Galaxy S5, in addition to a longer period of time. Of course, there is every possibility that this, too, could come in an even more sporty design. Of course, do take all of this with a pinch of salt since it remains as a rumor, so we will have to sit tight and wait for an official announcement to know more about the Galaxy S5 Active.
