If you happen to live in South Korea and happen to tote a Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 around, then you might want to sit up and take note that the Galaxy Note 8.0 has just received an operating system update that will bump the version number to Android 4.4.2 KitKat. This would make the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet as the latest device from Samsung’s stables that receive the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, where it will also boast of S Pen support as well as the rest of the software features which will remain specific to the Note range.
In other words, it is meant to complement the Note phablets as well as the larger Note models, including the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition as well as the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 that are under Samsung’s portfolio. Apart from South Korea, this particular KitKat update has also arrived in Poland, and we are quite sure that it will eventually make its way to other countries in due time. There will be a redesigned status bar with white icons, improved battery life, full screen album art on the lock screen even as music is being played, as well as wireless printing support. There is nothing quite like having the latest version of the mobile operating system, right?
