That being said, more evidence of new iMacs have been uncovered by Pike’s Universum (via TonyMacx86). According to the finding, three new iMac models have been identified in the resource files for power management, with the model numbers beginning at 15. It should be noted that current iMac models start with 14, so the new model numbers seem to hint at new iMacs.
Like we said earlier, the rumors suggested that these new iMacs could be unveiled at WWDC. Previously this was speculated due to the fact that shipping estimates on iMacs began to slip via Apple’s Online Store, suggesting that Apple was running out of stock on the iMacs and it did not appear that they were planning on stocking up anytime soon, thus making way for the newer models.
In fact according to an earlier rumor, it was suggested that low-cost iMacs could be on its way, and this was “confirmed” by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo in a roadmap that hinted that new iMacs could be released towards the end of Q2 2014. Will this be the case? Well we guess we’ll just have to wait and find out, but do check back with us next week for the details!
