Unlike the more sombre-looking HTC One M8 (which the One mini 2’s design is based on), the One mini 2 appears to sport some color accents on the lines of the device, thus giving off a brighter and more playful appearance, if you will. Interestingly enough these colorful accents were not shown off in the press rendering so take it with a grain of salt for now since the device pictured could be a prototype.
However if anything this photo also serves to “confirm” that the HTC One mini 2 will not feature a dual-camera setup, unlike its big brother, but then again for a device that seems to be of the mid-range quality, we can’t say we’re too surprised. So far what we know about the device as far as the rumors are concerned, is that it will feature a 4.5-inch 720p HD display.
The phone has also been rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, a 13MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and will come with Android 4.4.2 KitKat preinstalled. The One mini 2 is also expected to see a release this summer although no word on pricing or availability just yet. Either way we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more information.
