Huawei is a company known for creating affordable smartphones with decent specs. In fact some of their handsets that they have released are pretty powerful and could compete with the flagship phones we have come to see from more mainstream Android OEMs. That being said, it looks like Huawei is working on a new Ascend D3 handset, at least that’s what we can assume from the leaked photo pictured above.
The image above is allegedly that of the Huawei Ascend D3. As you can see, the bezels of the phone look incredibly thin, which helps to give off the impression that the phone’s display is larger than it really is. At the same time we can’t help but feel that perhaps Huawei might have borrowed some design ideas from HTC with the phone pictured above.
After all, you slap on some speaker grills on either end of the phone and it looks like the HTC One M8, not that it’s a bad thing since the One M8 is a beautifully designed handset. Unfortunately not much is known about the Huawei Ascend D3 for now, and there’s no way of confirming if the image above is the real deal. However it has been speculated that the phone could pack a Hisilicon processor under the hood and a high-res display as well, although it is unclear if it could be a Full HD or a QHD display.
Either way you can bet we will be keeping our eyes peeled for more information about the alleged Huawei Ascend D3, but given that the Huawei Honor 3X Pro and the Honor 3C 4G have been officially launched, perhaps the Ascend D3 will not be too far behind.
