In fact if anything, a BlackBerry patent seemed to confirm such claims. In any case thanks to additional digging around the BlackBerry 10.3 update, possible specs of the BlackBerry Windermere have surfaced. For starters there were files that referred to a device with a 1440×1440 display, and given the Windermere’s alleged aspect ratio, this could be the possible display resolution.
This would also give the phone a pixel density of 453 which is actually pretty sharp, but then again the phone supposedly features a 4.5-inch display, so the smaller display with the high resolution count does factor into it anyway. The Windermere is also rumored to pack a sizable 3,450mAh which is pretty big and should get power users through the day, hopefully.
Other additional specs talks about a new 13MP camera with optical image stabilization. Considering that BlackBerry phones aren’t exactly known for the photo prowess, perhaps BlackBerry could be shaking things up with the Windermere. Of course there are other features like the gesture-based keyboard and rumored Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, but until we hear from BlackBerry officially, do take it with a grain of salt for now.
