Is it possible to release a high end smartphone with a price tag that does not break the bank? The OnePlus One handset does seem to be heading in such a direction, although there does seem to have been some hiccups since its official announcement, having had its delivery schedule shuffled among others. One thing that we do know about the OnePlus One, however, is that there will be microSD memory card support thrown into the mix, which is a relief to those who have decided to pick up the 16GB version of the smartphone I guess. Well, we are glad to say that the OnePlus One has received the nod of approval from the FCC, which means the smartphone should not be too far off on the horizon.
The FCC approval also brought along with it the OnePlus One’s user manual, where in there, there was mention of the smartphone being able to handle microSD cards that are up to 32GB in capacity. Other than that, we do know that it will support LTE bands 4 and 17, which means that it will also play nice with AT&T’s and T-Mobile’s 4G LTE networks. However, do take note that those two carriers mentioned will not sell the OnePlus One since OnePlus intends to commercialize the smartphone direct to its customers in an unlocked format, sans all the contracts and fine print that come with carrier and retailer territory.
