This is thanks to designer Martin Hajek (who has created various concept renderings in the past) who has started selling a bunch of 3D files that you can use to 3D print your own iPhone 6 dummy unit. The files are being sold at $25 each, although if you don’t feel like paying for them, MacRumors’ forum users, Arthur Tilly, released the 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch files which can be downloaded from Thingiverse for free.
Now we should note that these schematics and designs aren’t necessarily the real thing. There’s no way of knowing if they are the actual or final design of the next-gen iPhone, especially since Apple has yet to make an official announcement to confirm or deny them. Then again Apple isn’t exactly known for confirming rumors, so we’ll just have take it with a grain of salt for now.
However if the rumors are to be believed, Apple could be planning on launching the iPhone 6 in August, a month ahead of their expected timetable in September. The rumors claim that the 4.7-inch model will be launched first, followed by the 5.5-inch model in September. It’s a little sketchy, but either way it looks like we still have some waiting ahead of us.
