Nintendo has promised to have NFC technology featured in their games, but so far nothing concrete has been seen for all intents and purposes. Still, it looks as though this long awaited feature will finally make its way to Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U console. Ah well, better late than never, don’t you think so?
This juicy bit of information hails from French newspaper Le Figaro, who did carry out a conversation with a certain Stephan Bole. Stephan Bole happens to be the managing director of Nintendo France, and the conversation went on about Nintendo’s plans for E3 2014 that is all set to kick off in a fortnight’s time.
Not only that, E3 2014 could be the platform to showcase NFC technology implementation within a Nintendo console, so Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U would be the perfect candidate to kick things off with. Considering how the Wii U gamepad already comes with an NFC sensor, Nintendo has plans for a wireless adapter to enable 3DS gamers to take part in some NFC action, too. Calling such titles NFP compatible games (Nintendo Figurine Platform), expect the Nintendo 3DS to enjoy this ability next year. How will an NFP game play like? Only time will tell!
